Pre-requisites
In order to use OneNote write back before starting the enablement process you must:
- Have a SIMS installation.
Have applied Patch**or beBe onSummerSpring 2018 release of SIMS 7 or later.- If you are using OneNote 2013 you may wish to review https://support.office.com/en-us/article/enable-modern-authentication-for-office-2013-on-windows-devices-7dc1c01a-090f-4971-9677-f1b192d6c910
- Your students and staff must have Office 365 accounts (or you plan to provision them through SIMS ID)
- You must have students and staff assigned to classes in SIMS
The following process will help you identify and carry out the necessary steps to:
- enable SIMS Online Client Services
- enable your data to flow to SIMS ID
- enable OneNote Write back in SIMS ID
- optionally and for a better overall experience, you may also wish to undertake User Matching between SIMS ID and Your Office 365 tenancy.
- optionally and for a better overall experience, you may also wish to enable Single Sign-On (federation) between SIMS ID and your Office 365 tenancy.
- Configure username and user display formats
Setting up OneNote write back.
The process to enable OneNote write-back varies depending on what other products you have already enabled from SIMS.
